Ch 6

~07:30 Head Office, Ron and Linda’s Flat~


Ron was still in bed…but a smile appeared on his face just thinking about how Leila would react once she wakes up…

Ron: Wonder if she’d call me? She’d probably want to kill me right now…too bad I left…if I stayed I could’ve witnessed her confusion and her anger…how fun would that be?

Ron closed his eyes and continued sleeping…

His phone began to ring…but he didn’t notice…it continued to ring as he continued to sleep until finally Linda was so annoyed that she had to pick it up.

Linda: Hello?

Girl: Oh…is Ron there?

Linda: He’s still sleeping…

Girl: I see…tell him, that Leila called and that I have his watch…from last night

Linda: Sure thing…

Girl: Bye

Linda: Bye

Linda went over to Ron’s bed and shook him so that he would wake up

Linda: Ron! Wake up you sleepy head!

No response

Linda: You’re girlfriend called…

He still continued to sleep…

Linda: Ron…wake up…or else…

He still didn’t respond…

Linda: That’s it! I give up…I’m leaving now!

She started to walk away and he quickly got up and grabbed her by the wrist.

Ron: What’s the hurry?

Linda: Finally you woke up…

Ron: Well you threatened to leave…and I would never want you to leave my side…

Linda: Well…you have your Leila now…so I’m of no use

Ron: What are you talking about?

Linda: She called and said you left your watch behind from last night…

Ron smiled: Oh…so she did call…

Linda: Seems like mentioning her name can place a smile on your face so easily…

Ron: You jealous?

Linda: And why would I be?

Ron: Cause you love me as much as I love you…

Linda blushed: You’re just saying that…

Ron: Of course not…you know I love you…just because we can’t be doesn’t mean that I can’t express how I feel about you…

Linda: So…what did you and Leila do last night?

Ron: It’s a funny story…I was at the bar…then she came over…we started talking…she spiked my drink…I spiked hers…but I didn’t get affected by it but I pretended to be…she dragged me into a hotel room where we did some stuff…but nothing that crossed the line…and then I made it seem as though I made her lose her virginity…just to piss her off…

He started laughing…just remembering all that he did last night to Leila.

Linda: Seems to me like you had a lot of fun

Ron smiled: Of course…I think I’m going to make her go crazy…when she finds out that nothing really happened…(he continued laughing)

Linda: Nothing happened?

Ron: You don’t believe me?

Linda pinched his nose: Of course I do…

Ron smiled and pulled her towards his body: Even if everyone on this planet thinks that I’m a liar…as long as you still believe me…that’s all that matters.

Linda: I’m that important?

Ron: You’re my everything…

He gently kissed her on the forehead…

Linda: I…I should be leaving now…my shift starts in like 40 minutes…I left breakfast on the table for you…umm…bye Ron

She quickly took off…and Ron chased after her…

Ron: Wait up…

Linda: Ya?

She turned around and he wrapped her in his arms and kissed her passionately…

Ron: I just had to do that…hope you didn’t mind

Linda slightly blushed: You’re going to make me late…

Ron smiled: All right…I’ll see you tonight

Linda: sure

And off she went…her face still rosy red due to his kiss…

Soon after she had left Ron decided that he might show up today for another lecture at the university in hopes of bumping into Leila to see her reaction. But his lecture didn’t start until 2 o’clock…so he had plenty of time to plan out what he was going to do to her next.

~12:00~

He decided to take his jacket to the dry cleaners first before heading off to the university…

Ron got into his car and drove off the dry cleaners… once he got there he walked in and greeted the owner.

Ron: Afternoon Mr. Yeung

Ha Yu: Ron my boy…how’s your father doing?

Ron: He’s good sir…and I’m hoping that you can do something about this jacket…you see someone accidentally poured champagne all over it…

Ha Yu: Another woman?

Ron smiled: Nothing can get past you…

Ha Yu: Did you check your pockets to make sure that you wouldn’t lose anything valuable?

Ron: There shouldn’t be anything important in there anyways…if there is something in there, can you please just throw it away…it would be trash anyways

Ha Yu: All right then…

Ron: So…when will your daughter be back?

Ha Yu smiled: Sometime next year I’m assuming…funny you asked…cause last night when she called you was asking about you

Ron: oh…

Ha Yu: Well…Tavia asked how you’re doing and stuff like that…when I asked her why she wouldn’t just send you an email or something she hesitated…that daughter of mine…never wanting to expose how she feels…

Ron: She’s a nice girl…

Ha Yu: Glad you think so too…

Ron: Well, I ought to get going now…my lecture starts in around half an hour…I’ll come pick up my jacket next week…see you then

Ha Yu: Bye Ron

He left the dry cleaners and into the car and drove off to the university…when he got there he was right on time and headed into the lecture hall without hesitation.

Ron: Probably she’s not here today…

After a painful two hours of sitting there and typing out notes…and falling asleep…the lecture was finally over…he walked out of the lecture hall like some sort of zombie and didn’t notice anyone or anything…until he looked up and there she was

Ron: Were you waiting for me?

Leila: No…I was waiting for the other guy I slept with last night

Ron: Well in that case…I’ll get going now

Leila: Hey…get back here!

Ron: And what if I don’t?

Leila: I’ll tell the whole world about…

Ron: About what? How I slept with you last night and shared an unforgettable moment with you? I think the world would love to hear that!

Leila smiled: I would tell the world this…

Tears began to build up in her eyes as her face slowly turned red…

Leila: How could you do this to me? I gave you everything…and now you break up with me cause you say you’re GAY?

Ron ran over to her and kissed her passionately to shut her up

Ron: What are you talking about…I love you…just so much…I didn’t want to be with you because…because…I’m dying…I don’t know how long I have to live…and I don’t want you to be sad once I die…so I thought that if we were to break up then you wouldn’t be so hurt. But I know that was a stupid decision…Leila…will you forgive me?

The people who were coming out of the lecture hall or were walking into the lecture hall all stood there and watched the entire scene…

Crowd: Forgive him…

Leila nodded…and the crowd jeered

Ron took a hold of her hand and walked off with her…

Ron: You think you can make me look bad eh?

Leila: Never knew you could act so well…

Ron: Who said I was acting?

Leila: You’re dying…

Ron: Ya…I have AIDS

Leila: WHAT? !!!!

Ron laughed: You believe everything people tell you, don’t you?

Leila: It’s possible…seeing how many girls you sleep with a night…

Ron: What are you talking about?

Leila: When I called you this morning…a girl picked up…

Ron: She’s a friend of mine…and why should you care…you know…we’ve only known each other for a couple of days…don’t tell me you’re starting to like me already?

Leila: Why would I like a jerk like you? I’m just here to return your watch…and wanted to ask you if you wanted to do it again tonight…

Ron: You miss me that much? I’d love to take the offer but I can’t…I have an essay to write tonight…sorry…

Leila: There’s always a next time…

Ron smiled: So how about this jerk, take you out for dinner?

Leila: I’d have to think about it…

Ron put his arms around her: Come on…

Leila: Hmmm…

Ron: Honey! I thought you forgave me…

Leila immediately covered up his mouth and agreed…
