Seven Days: Ch 7: Finale

Sorry for the delay! I hope you enjoy!

Chapter 7

The days they spent together could be counted using their hands but what was funny was the fact that their love didn’t need time to grow. Even though he had only said those three words to her just two days ago to her it felt as if he had said those words from the beginning of time. Today was the final day of the year 2006. Two years ago she had spent it with the person that she thought would love her for life but in return had failed her miserably. She hoped Ron would be different, different from him, that two timing imbecile Bosco.

Leila woke up in her bed at home…images of Ron and her flashed through her head and made a smile appear unexpectedly on her flawless face. Anyone could tell that she was happy, happy and in love. Her parents were very content at the fact that they have finally become successful matchmakers and that they know that their daughter will forever be happy for she had found her other half. Leila hurried to the bathroom to wash up and then ran downstairs to see what all the commotion was about. Supposedly that was what woke her up from her wonderful dream of having a fairytale wedding with Ron.

She quickly ran down that stairs and there he was once again with that messy hair that made him look oh so adorable. He just stood there staring right at her while she was running down the stairs. Then she saw him finally smile…a brilliant smile revealing his dimples. Even though it was cold…his smile filled her heart with warmth.

Leila: You’re here early today

Ron: I thought that I would come by and pick you up for breakfast…then if you have time in the afternoon, we’ll have lunch and then if you have no plans for the evening dinner?

Leila laughed: Is that how you ask all of your other girlfriends for a date?

Ron shrugged: Maybe

Leila: I’ll go and get dressed

Ron: I’ll miss you

Leila slightly blushed and went back upstairs.

Ha Yu: The two of them reminded me of when I was their age

Rebecca: What are you talking about?

Ha Yu: How I would say those sweet words to you…

Rebecca: You never did

Ha Yu: Oops, wrong person

Rebecca pinched Ha Yu’s ear: So who did you say it to?

Ha Yu: Let go already it hurts.

As the two of them continued to bicker Ron stood there laughing and waiting for Leila to come back down. Finally he heard her footsteps and there in front of him she stood.

Leila: Why are you staring at me?

Ron: Sorry…it’s just that you look so beautiful that I can’t keep my eyes off of you

Leila blushed: Stop with the sweet-talking already

Ron: What sweet-talking? I’m just telling you what was on my mind

Leila giggled at his innocent and shocked face.

Leila: Well…I’m hungry now so before you starve me to death by staring at me we should go and get something to eat.

Ron smiled: All right then…off we go

He drove her off to a nearby coffee hut to get something to eat and drink.

Ron: Look outside, it’s snowing again

Leila smiled: Hey maybe later we could make our first snowman?

Ron laughed at her childish look and nodded in agreement.

After breakfast the two of them headed outside to do what Leila had suggested; make a snowman.

They started out with a huge snowball half the size of Leila for the base and worked their way up from there. Finally the snowman came into shape but was yet to be completed. Why? Well…it was missing two eyes, a nose and a mouth.

Ron: Our masterpiece is complete

Leila: It’s still missing something…(She took the scarf from Ron’s neck and wrapped it around the snowman) now it’s complete!

Ron: But what about me?
Leila smiled and went over to give Ron a peck on the cheek.

~11:30 p.m.~

Only half an hour left until midnight and Leila couldn’t find Ron anywhere. They had spent the entire day together and now half an hour till the end of the year he disappeared and left her in the crowd downtown.

Leila thinking to herself: Where can he be? He promised he’d be back as quickly as possible. What if he IS like Bosco…what if he played my like a fool only to let my heart be torn apart on New Year’s Eve? How could he do such a thing to me…I thought he loved me…because I love him…

She continued to doubt herself…doubt that Ron was what she thought he was. She was beginning to believe that all guys were out there to break her heart and make her feel miserable on this very day. Then from afar she could see Ron…but he was with someone, someone that she did meet before but didn’t know who she was and didn’t ask Ron about her either. Who was she?

Ron was pulling his pulling her through the crowd laughing and talking.

Ron: I can’t hear what you’re saying

Girl: What?

Ron: Never mind!

Girl: I can’t hear you!

He finally caught sight of Leila…and she was looking quite unhappy and she was walking away from him. The quicker he tried to go through it seems as though that she was trying to quickly run away. Maybe there was a misunderstanding that he didn’t know about…whatever it was he didn’t want it to ruin the New Year’s Eve. So he decided to call her.

Leila’s phone rang and she flipped open her phone to answer it.

Leila: Hello?

Ron: Where are you?

Leila: And why do you care?

Ron: What are you talking about…why wouldn’t I care? You’re my girlfriend!

Leila: Glad that you still consider me you’re girlfriend even when you’re holding her hand

Ron: There must be some misunderstanding Leila…

Leila: Misunderstanding? I can see you and her hand in hand

Ron: She’s my cousin…

Leila: That excuse won’t work with me Ron. I thought you were better than him…I guess I was wrong.

She quickly closed her phone and struggled to free herself from the crowd.

Ron: How can she doubt me like that?

Linda: Simple…you ARE too good to be true sometimes…

Ron heaved a heavy sigh: But I really do love her.

Linda: Then chase after her you dummy!

Ron: You’ll be fine here?

Linda: I’m not twelve anymore Ron…I’ll be fine…you go after her.

Ron started making his way through the crowd to where Leila was standing…

Crowd: 10…9…8…

He finally reached her she turned around and he noticed her in tears…he wrapped his arms around her waist

Crowd: 7…6…5…

Ron: Leila…I love you…I always will

Crowd: 4…3…2…

Ron: There are 60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes in an hour, 24 hours in a day and 365 days in a year. I want to spend the last second of the last minute of the last hour of the last day of this year with you.

Crowd: 1…Happy New Years!!!!

He then started to wipe the tears of joy that now had started fall and then kissed her passionately in the midst of all the noise and all the cheering.

THE END!!!!!

Seven Days: Ch 6

Chapter 6

Whatever the answer to her question was…she didn’t care for she knew that he was the one for her. She felt it…it was her woman’s intuition that told her that he will love her as much as she will love him and because of that she made herself vulnerable to Ron. She would laugh at his silly mistakes or compliment his messy hair. Maybe he was too innocent to realize that fact that she was falling for him because until today he had yet to ask her out. He still felt as if he did it would seem as though he was taking advantage of the fact that she had just came out of a bad relationship. He wanted to woo her…but he felt that helping her recover from the pain that her ex-boyfriend caused her was more important. And by doing so he would get a much better understanding of who she is and what she likes.

~Dec. 29th~

It was around 7:30 in the morning as the two of them slowly woke up. No they didn’t have a one night fling or any of that…in fact after they went skating they drove all the way to Niagara falls where they watched the falls at night with all the brilliant colours in the freezing winter. Then since it was getting late…they had gotten into a hotel for the night but slept on separate beds like Ron had insisted upon. When they woke up it was just in time to see the sun rise from their falls view hotel.

Ron slowly opened his eyes to see that Leila was sitting on her bed and watching him. A smile perked up on his face as he slowly got up.

Leila: Good morning

Ron: Good morning…

Leila: We woke up just in time to see the sun rise

The two of them got out of bed and walked towards the window to admire the rising sun

Leila: It’s beautiful…

Ron: Not as beautiful as you

What came out of Ron’s mouth was unexpected according to Leila…maybe he was still sleepy or maybe it felt right to him to make that move now.

Leila: What did you say?

Ron slowly wrapped his arms around her waist as he repeated those words in a whisper into her ear.

She smiled feeling as though she was the luckiest woman alive.

Ron: What do you want to do today?

Leila: I haven’t decided yet but I think I should call my parents to let them know I’m okay first.

Ron: I think you should…and if they ask anything…tell them I’ll explain everything to them as soon as we get back.

Leila giggled: Don’t worry…my parents’ think you’re like the best guy ever

Ron: And what do you think?

Leila: Does it matter to you?

She walked away from him and towards the bathroom…

Ron: Of course it does…cause…

Leila: because?

Will he finally say the words that she wants to hear…three words that would touch her soul…and because it would be coming from his mouth…those words would be filled with sincerity and become extremely meaningful rather than meaningless.

Leila: because?

Ron: Do I really have to say?

Leila: Of course you don’t but then I just won’t tell you what I think of you

Ron scrunched his face up, which made Leila laugh.

Ron: Because I love you! There! I said it…

Leila: And I heard you loud and clear…and I think you’re a really nice guy

Ron walked over to her: Just nice?

Leila: A very nice guy…

Ron moved even closer to her: Anything else?

By now they were only inches away from each other…they were so close that they could feel each other’s heart beating faster and faster as their breathing too had sped up.

Leila slightly blushed realizing the tiny distance between them.

Leila: A guy that could take care of me for the rest of my life…

With that their gaze locked as they embraced themselves into a passionate and heartfelt kiss…to be exact it was their second…but this one felt as if it was going to last forever…and just maybe it would.

Once they broke free from their kiss Leila made a phone call to her parents.

Leila: Hello…

Ha Yu: Honey? Where are you? Why didn’t you come home last night? Are you okay?

Rebecca: Old man! Let her speak already! And give me the phone

Rebecca to Leila: Honey where are you?

Leila: I’m at a hotel

Rebecca: Hotel!?!

Ha Yu: what is our daughter doing at a hotel?

Rebecca talking to Ha Yu: How should I know

Rebecca: What happened honey?

Leila: Nothing…just yesterday Ron and I…

Rebecca: Ron! You’re with Ron? What did he do to you? You know you can tell your mother anything…

Leila giggled: Nothing happened mom…we were tired so we booked a hotel and he was a real gentleman insisting separate beds and everything

Rebecca: Well he should…or else…

Leila: Or else what?

Rebecca: I’ll force him to marry you…

Leila laughed: I don’t think you would need to force him…he’d probably agree to it right now…

Rebecca: So nothing happened?

Leila: Nothing at all…well I got to go…Ron’s waiting outside. Bye

With that she ended the call and went outside in the hall where Ron was standing there waiting patiently for her while some girls from the room across from them were checking him out.

Leila walked out to see that Ron was standing there smiling at the other guests as they were walking out of their rooms and those guests happened to all be young and pretty ladies.

Leila: They’re pretty aren’t they?

Ron turned to see who was talking to him and saw Leila standing there staring him down

Ron: But they could never be as pretty as you.

Leila: Really?

Ron: Of course…compared to them you’re like an angel…you’re beauty shines from within…such divine beauty, which they can never have

Even when he was sweet-talking her…his words felt sincere…maybe it was the fact that she was too in love with him. But then again whenever she feared that what happened between her and Bosco would happen to Ron and her…Ron’s sincerity makes up for everything.

Ron: What are you thinking about?

Leila: Something…

Ron: Do you know what I’m thinking about?

Leila: What’s for breakfast?

Ron laughed: Exactly!

The two of them walked and talked towards the elevator…

I hope you enjoyed it! And yes, it is coming to an end...just one more chapter to go (I think). Lately I haven't gotten a chance to update my current fanfics because I'm preparing for my piano exam which is taking place tomorrow. Going on the computer (typing) and playing piano requires two very different hand positions and so...I've been avoiding typing in general.

Wish me good luck? And leave me a comment on the fanfic!

I'm gonna go relax my arm muscles now...

Seven Days: Ch 5

Chapter 5

After her conversation with Tavia had ended it was nearing noon and so she hurriedly went upstairs to get dressed. Ten minutes later she came running down the stairs because she heard the doorbell ring. She opened the door and there standing outside in the cold was the man who saved her last night.

Ron: Don’t tell me you’re going to leave me standing out there in the freezing cold.

Leila: Right! Come on in.

Ron took off his toque and she immediately noticed how he had hat hair, which made her burst into laughter.

Ron: It’s not that bad is it?

Leila: I wouldn’t say it looks bad…but you should see it for yourself.

Ron walked over to a nearby mirror and looked at his reflection. His hair was in a bit of a mess due to the toque.

Ron: It’s ok…there’s no point in fixing it anyways since I’m going to put it back on when we go outside.

Leila: But you look pretty cute with your hair all messy.

Ron just laughed at her comment…

Ron: Umm…are we going to stand around here all day and talk about my hair or are we going to have lunch cause I don’t know about you but I’m definitely hungry.

Leila giggled: Let me go grab my jacket and we’ll go.

Ron: Sure.

Ron watched as she went to the closet and grabbed her stuff…she then put on her jacket…as she was doing so her hood got stuck on the inside and Ron walked over to give her a hand.

Leila: Thanks

Ron: No problem…and you should grab like your scarf as well cause it’s like –20 degrees with the wind-chill.

Leila: Ok…

Once she was done grabbing and putting all of her stuff on the two of them went out for lunch.

When they walked out the snow was beginning to fall…many tiny snowflakes were falling everywhere…and like a little kid Leila was very excited seeing all the pretty snowflakes everywhere. A smile perked up on her face as she opened her hands to catch the snowflakes as they fall. Ron was just standing around admiring how innocent she looked…but now the question that came to mind was…what would make an innocent girl like her get drunk?

Soon the two of them got onto Ron’s car and he drove off to a restaurant where he had already made reservations. They entered the restaurant and were guided to their seat by a waitress that was actually a friend of Ron’s.

The waitress smiled at him as she walked them to their seat.

Waitress: My name is Toby and I’ll be your waitress for today.

Ron: How was your Christmas Toby?

Toby: A bit lonely without you…where were you that night?

Ron: I had dinner with my parents and their friends and then I went to Tavia’s

Toby: So you ditched me for her eh?

Ron: For Tavia?

Toby: who else would I be talking about unless the lovely young lady sitting in front of you is your girlfriend?

Leila blushed: No, we’re just friends…

Toby: Ok good…cause I don’t want my Ronnie running off with another woman

Ron: Leila just ignore her…

Toby gasped: Ignore me? How could you?

Ron laughed: Stop with the acting Toby…I think you’re scaring her.

Toby giggled: She doesn’t look that frightened…but she does look hungry though…so what can I get the two of you?

Leila: A Caesar salad

Toby: And for you Ronnie?

Ron: I’ll just have one of your famous sandwiches

Toby: which one?

Ron: Any…as long as its edible.

Toby smiled and walked away leaving Ron and Leila sitting there, staring out the window at the fallen snow that covered the ground like a blanket.

Ron: I know it’s none of my business to ask but why were you so drunk last night?

Leila didn’t answer.

Ron: If you don’t want to answer that’s fine with me…

Leila: I guess you do have the right to know why I was drunk since you did save me…

Leila: So it started out great…I had dinner with my boyfriend and he gave me 730 red roses symbolizing how much me missed me for the past two years…but after that we went to the bar for a drink…I found out he was cheating on me…and you know the rest

Ron noticed that a tear rolled down her cheek as she was telling him what had happened…he didn’t want to see her cry…he felt that he was responsible for making her cry by asking her what had happened. He quickly took out a handkerchief from his pocket and handed it to her.

Leila: Thanks

Ron: Come on don’t cry over a jerk like him…there are millions of guys lining up to be you’re boyfriend

Leila: Really?

Ron: You know what…as a matter of fact I would be the first person in line

His words made her smile even though tears were still falling

Leila: You would?

Ron: Of course…you’re a great person, very pretty and you’re smile is just amazing…

Leila smiled: If you’re just saying this to cheer me up then it’s definitely working

Ron: I’m not lying…it’s the truth…I would ask you out right now…but then that would be like I’m taking advantage of you while you’re still hurt. And that’s not right.

She was amazed by his words…never before had she seen a guy that was like him. A guy that could have his picture stuck beside the word perfect in the oxford dictionary. Not only was he caring…he was also sincere and his words are always so heartfelt. He was a genuine guy, a one of a kind type of guy whose smile could melt any girl’s heart. Maybe it was the cold…maybe it was because what Bosco did to her really weakened her but she knew one thing for sure…she was falling head over heels for the guy who was sitting right across from her…like the first day they met…

After lunch the two of them headed to the mall.

~Mall~

As the two of them were walking around Ron suddenly remembered that he had forgot to ask her if she liked what he got her…actually he did ask but she just never responded.

Ron: So did you like what I got you?

Leila: I loved it…thank you!

Ron smiled: Glad that you liked it…I really didn’t know what to get…and I thought it was cute so ya…

Leila smiled: It is cute

They continued to walk around the mall until Leila caught sight of him wrapping his arms around another girl’s waist and he too saw her. He walked over to Leila.

Bosco: So how’s it going?

Leila: Much better since you’re no longer of any importance in my life

Girl: Who is she honey?

Bosco: Sharon let me introduce you to her…she’s Leila remember I told you about her last night…how I dumped her at the bar

Leila: You have to get things straight…I dumped you and not the other way around

Bosco: You were lucky that I even laid eyes on you! Who the hell would like someone as ugly as you?

Ron was standing not too far away from where Leila was and heard the entire thing…and realized that that guy was probably the one that had hurt Leila last night. He walked over and wrapped his arms around Leila’s waist.

Ron: Who are you talking to honey?

Leila: No one important

Bosco: So you’re the new idiot who’s her boyfriend now?

Ron: Me the idiot? I think you’ve mistaken pal…you were the moron who lost the opportunity to be with her.

Bosco: Ya right! Like I dated her for like 3 years and I got nothing out of it

Ron: Well if you love someone shouldn’t you respect them and understand that if they don’t feel comfortable giving everything to you then there has to be a reason

As Ron was speaking Leila was looking intently at him…he’d helped her out so much and the more she was spending time with him the more she liked him. Not only was Leila falling for him but Sharon was too. She was basically comparing the two…one was Bosco who was Romantic and all but he wasn’t sweet and his words weren’t sincere whereas this guy…he was like a dream come true.

Bosco turned to look at his girlfriend…

Bosco: Quit staring at him already

~Dec. 28th~

Leila was smiling in her sleep thinking about what Ron was saying…she woke up with a big smile already plastered on her face.

She quickly went to the bathroom and washed up…went back to her room and quickly got dressed for today she was going skating with Ron. Another day spent with Ron is just another day in heaven…watching him smile, hearing his sincere words and all of his little cute gestures. Was she falling too quickly for her own good was the question she had asked herself.

Seven Days: Ch 4

Chapter 4

She wasn’t able to recall what had happened the previous night other than the fact that she went out with Bosco and found out that he was cheating on her. As she was trying to recall what happened after that her cell phone rang.

Leila: Hello?

Guy: You’re up? Or did I wake you up?

Leila: I just got up…

Guy: Oh…

Leila: My head really hurts…

Guy: Well it should since you had consumed so much alcohol last night…

Leila: I did?

Guy: some drunk man at the bar would’ve probably eaten you alive if I didn’t come in time…

Leila: I don’t remember what happened last night Ron…

Ron: How about I come and pick you up later for lunch and I’ll tell you the whole story all right?

Leila smiled: Are you trying to ask me out?

Ron: However you want to phrase it my friend…but if you feel uncomfortable with just the two of us…I could ask Tavia to come.

Leila: No, it’ll be fine…just you and me…

Ron: All right then…I’ll see you at noon.

Leila: Bye…and thanks…for not eating me alive…

Ron chuckled: No problem…Bye

Leila: Bye

With that she placed her phone back on the night table and got out of bed. She went into the bathroom to wash up and get ready for breakfast like she would usually do…but today when she went in she saw a note on the mirror…

~Note~

Hey, Leila last night you were really drunk when I took you home…hope you’re feeling much better now and if I don’t give you a call…can you give me a call so I know that you’re all right?

Ron.

~End~

She took the note off from the mirror and read it over and over again…he was probably the nicest and sweetest guy she had ever met or laid eyes on. Maybe the fact that he was too caring made her feel uneasy or the fact that he didn’t ask her any questions why she was drunk in the first place…whatever the reason was…she began to have this strange feeling that she had never felt before…It made her feel a little tense…made her heart beat a bit quicker…it made her smile just a little more than usual…a feeling that to her was still unknown.

After finishing her routine in the bathroom she went downstairs to face her parents…

Ha Yu: Are you feeling better now?

Leila: My head still hurts though…

Rebecca: What did that Bosco do to you this time?

Leila: Please don’t mention his name…

Ha Yu: Honey…I don’t want you to ever see him again if every time you do see him he causes you this much pain…

Leila nodded.

Rebecca: Luckily Ron was there to bring you home…such a gentlemen that Ron Ng

Ha Yu: Sek Sau must be very proud to have such a righteous son…back in my day…if a man saw a young lady at a bar by her lonesome self he’d be hitting on her…and the next thing you know…

Rebecca: Do you know how old you are? Talking like you’re still young…such a perverted old man…

Ha Yu: Hey, I was just telling our little princess here what could’ve happened and don’t call me perverted in front of her!

Leila: Will you two stop it already? I get it ok. I really do. Ron called me…we’re going to have lunch together…and I’ll thank him then for “saving me” Are you two happy?

Ha Yu: We’re happy if you’re happy.

Leila smiled: Well then…I’m hungry…can one of you please feed me?

Ha Yu and Rebecca laughed seeing their little girl’s facial expression…

Rebecca: Everything is in the kitchen honey, your dad and I, we need to get going now…we’ll see you tonight if you’re home early (She winked at Leila)

Leila: Ok…I’ll see you two later then…

Her parents left the house as she went into the kitchen to get her breakfast…as she was munching away the telephone rang.

Leila ran over to it and picked it up.

Leila: Hello?

Girl: Leila!

Leila: Tavia?

Tavia: I heard you and Ron got together last night…

Leila: What?

Tavia: Don’t pretend like you’re so innocent…my friend who was also at the bar last night told me all about it…so what happened after you left with Ron?

Leila: He drove me home…

Tavia: What?

Leila: Well…that’s what he did…

Tavia: And missed out on a golden opportunity?

Leila: Thank god he’s not perverted like you…

Tavia: Well… I would’ve thought that since he was a guy…he would’ve taken advantage of you…so I called to comfort you…but I guess that’s no longer necessary…and why were you so drunk anyways?

Leila: I don’t want to talk about it…

Tavia: Let me guess…It was Bosco wasn’t it?

Leila: Is it that obvious?

Tavia: Well…every time Bosco hurts you, you would go out and get drunk…then some nice person like ME…and in this case Ron would come by and help you out…

Leila: Am I really that predictable?

Tavia: Let’s just say…I know you like the back of my hand…so what did he do to you this year?

Leila: I found out he had another girlfriend…

Tavia: That two timing jerk! How could he?

Leila: Can we please change the topic?

Tavia: Sure…so what do you think of Ron?

Leila: He’s a nice guy…

Tavia: He’s just a “nice” guy?

Leila: Sweet, caring, good looking…

Tavia: So you have a GOOD impression of him don’t you?

Leila: And what if I do?

Tavia: Well then…let me play matchmaker and put you two people together…

Leila: And what if he does what Bosco did?

Tavia: Trust me…I know Ron and I know he won’t…he’s too good for that…

Leila: Really?

Tavia: I’ve known him for about 10 years now…and I figured out he’s the sweetest, most charming guy you’d ever meet.

Leila: Sounds to me like you like him…

Tavia: I do…but like he says…we’re only good friends…so if I can’t be with him…I hope that my good friend can…and in this case my good friend is you…

Seven Days: Ch 3

Howdy,

Since I said I would update after my MCAT...here it is!

==========================

Ch 3

As the clock struck seven…Leila was dressed and ready to go…when the doorbell rang she rushed to the door to open it and see who it was. There stood in front of her was the person she had been waiting to see for just so long. He looked as attractive as before with that very cute smile plastered on his face.

She then hugged him with all of her might.

Leila: I missed you so much…

Bosco: I missed you too

Leila: So where are we going today?

Bosco: To dinner of course silly

Leila smiled: well then shouldn’t we get going now?

Bosco: Of course honey…

With that he smiled at her just like before…a smile that felt so sweet that just made him extra attractive.

The two of them went off to one of the finest restaurants in town and had dinner. They ordered a bottle of red wine to go along with their steak. And for dessert, Bosco ordered a Strawberry Cheesecake with the words “I love you” written on it just for Leila. Her face lighted up at the sight of the cake and brightened even more when she read the message that was on the cake. She then embraced Bosco to thank him for what he had done for her. Bosco then clapped his hands and a waiter pulled out a wagon of exactly 730 red roses.

Bosco: Each rose on this wagon symbolizes how I missed you each and every day for the past two years. I handpicked exactly 730 roses just for you. I want you to know that no matter what I do, or wherever I go…you’ll always be the one I love.

As he said his words to her tears of joy rolled down her cheeks just hearing him…just knowing that she still has a place in his heart. With his words made her forget all the pain that he had caused her…all the lies that he had told her and most importantly all the broken promises he had made.

Leila: I love you…

He then wrapped his arms around her and kissed her passionately…

They soon left the restaurant and went to the bar for a drink like they would usually do. As they got seated Bosco’s cell phone rang.

Bosco: Hey honey, I need to answer this call all right. I’ll be right back.

Leila smiled: Sure

Bosco went to the bathroom where there was less racket to answer his call.

Bosco: Hello

Girl: Where are you Bosco?

Bosco: I’m at the bar having a drink with Leila…

Girl: Why are you still with her? You promised to not see her again!

Bosco: I know babe, but…

Girl: Unless you still love her…

Bosco: Don’t be so childish Sharon, you’re the only one I love…you know how I like to play around…I thought you were fine with it

Sharon: But I want you to be mine tonight…

Bosco: All right babe, I’ll be there. (He gave her a goodbye kiss)

Sharon: Love you.

And that was the end of the call…but while Bosco was having his very flirtatious conversation with her Leila happened to pass by to use the bathroom and heard the whole thing…she decided to go back to her seat and see what he would say to her.

Bosco came back seeing Leila still drinking her Pĩna Colada.

Bosco: Sorry honey I really need to go…

Leila: Why?

Bosco: Umm…well you see…my mother is really ill and she needs me to come home now so…I hope you understand…

Leila couldn’t believe how this guy sitting right beside her could lie to her so easily…did he think she was still that naïve like she used to be? Leila had enough of his lies…it was time for her to take some action and show him that she isn’t that foolish soul that he could hurt over and over again.

Leila took her drink and poured it down his shirt.

Bosco: What was that all about?

Leila started to chuckle: Don’t pretend like you don’t know

Bosco: Don’t know what?

Leila: You’re mother isn’t sick…it’s just that you want to go back home to your little girlfriend Sharon or whatever her name is…

Bosco: You were eavesdropping on my conversation?

Leila: If you didn’t do anything wrong then you wouldn’t be so scared if I did eavesdrop.

Bosco: You little Bitch…I come to pick you up, take you out to dinner spend hundreds of dollars on those damn ugly roses and what you do is listen on my conversation?

Leila: If you didn’t really want to take me out on the first place you shouldn’t have.

Bosco: I was trying to be nice; I was thinking how since you’re so damn ugly what type of guy would even go out with you. I pitied you so I emailed you asking you out so you wouldn’t be so lonely.

Leila: Who said I was lonely?

Bosco chuckled: If you weren’t then you wouldn’t be so excited to see me

Leila: I had enough of your words…I don’t want to see your face ever again…do you hear me Bosco Wong?

Bosco: Loud and clear bitch…and you don’t have to make such a big fuss it’s not like I slept with you or anything.

Leila: Leave!

Bosco: All right already, so this is what happens to nice guys…

He left the bar and left Leila sitting there now in tears…she ordered a round of beer just for herself. She wanted to drink away her sorrow, drink away the pain…

********
Ron was out with his friends too…they sat there drinking and just joking around like a bunch of guys would.

Matt: Hey Ron you should really get yourself a girlfriend.

Ron: What are you talking about, like you have one

Matt: Come on man; don’t be so picky…you know Tavia is the perfect match for you

Ron: Tavia and I are really good friends…

Matt: Sometimes friends can become lovers you know…

Sammul: Like Nancy and me…we knew each other since forever and now we’re together…and you think best friends can’t be

Matt: Listen to him man he’s a pro

Ron: I don’t know…

Matt: Fine, if you don’t like Tavia then who do you like?

Ron: Haven’t thought about it

Sammul: How about that girl you kissed last night…she’s pretty hot you know…

Ron: Watch when I tell Nancy that

Sammul: Don’t you dare…she’ll eat me alive

The three of them started laughing…

Kenneth: Leave my cousin alone all right…Nancy may be a bit obnoxious but she understands…

Sammul: Ya right…if she understands then pigs can fly…

Matt: Ron, have another drink…

Ron: If I have another drink then who’s going to drive you guys home?

Matt: That’s such a dumb question…we’ll just bump into some random girl and have a one nightstand…

Once again the laughter came back…this time louder than ever…

Matt: Maybe we should try to pick ourselves one right now before they’re all taken…

Sammul: Hey look at that one over there…she looks like she’s in deep sorrow, perfect for you Ron. Go cheer her up with your manliness.

Sammul pushed him off of his seat and now Ron was standing up and looking over to the direction of the girl who was sitting there all alone by herself…drinking away. He then noticed some old man coming up to her and started to touch her in away that made her feel uncomfortable.

***************

Leila: Leave me alone!

Man: Come on babe…you don’t want to spend a night all by yourself do you?

Leila: I said leave me alone!

Someone then walked over and tapped the man on the shoulder.

Guy: Sir, I think the lady told you to leave her alone…

Man: And what does she have to do with you?

Guy: I’m her boyfriend so leave her alone.

Man: Chill dude…if she’s your girl then you should watch over her all right…

Leila looked up to see whom it was and she saw a familiar face…

Leila: Ron?

Ron: Leila? What are you doing here all alone?

She started to cry…her tears flowed like a thousand waterfalls…She then placed her head on his chest and cried her heart out…

~The 27th~

She woke up realizing that she was home on her bed and felt her head throbbing…

Seven Days: Ch 2

My apologies for the lack of update/ inconsistent update. I've been panicking and studying for my MCAT and so I tried to stay away from my computer as much as possible. Anywho...here it is.

Chapter 2

After they had their dinner Ron and Leila left. They exited the restaurant and went towards Ron’s car. It was quite chilly out and Ron could see that Leila was cold so he wrapped his scarf around her…as he did so he gave a little smile revealing his dimples…something that warmed her from the inside out. She started to realize that she had started to blush slightly but he didn’t notice because he had thought that her cheeks became rosy red because of the cold. Once they got to his car Ron, like a gentlemen would opened the door for Leila and made sure that she wouldn’t accidentally bump her head. Then Ron too got onto the car.

Ron: I know that we’ve just met and stuff so if you don’t want to go with me that’s totally fine…I’ll just drive you home or wherever you’d like to go.

Leila: Well…I’m suppose to be meeting a friend at her place for a little get together

Ron: I guess I’ll drop you off there then and give me a call when the get together is over so I could come and pick you up so your parents wouldn’t be suspicious.

Leila: It’s on Queen Street West

Ron: That’s where I’m heading

Leila: Oh…don’t tell me you’re going to the Bohemian Embassy Condos too…

Ron: What a coincidence, that’s exactly where I’m heading…and by any chance is the host for the party Tavia?

Leila: Tavia Yeung?

Ron smiled and seeing him smile made her smile as well.

Ron: I guess we’re going together after all

Leila: I guess so

Ron drove off to Tavia’s place. The two of them continued their conversation talking about how they came to know Tavia yet they’ve never met each other. It just proves how big this world can be even though everyone knows that it is quite small. As they were happily talking they exchanged phone numbers as well. Like they say it’s better to make a friend than to gain an enemy. Finally when they arrived Ron parked his car and then quickly got out and went onto the other side to open the door for Leila. The two of them entered the building and went into the elevator, which took them up to the party room that Tavia had reserved for the get together for at least three months.

When Tavia caught sight of Ron and Leila coming out of the elevator together an odd feeling filled her heart…it was joy but it had a tinge of jealousy. But when Ron saw her he quickly walked over to her and embraced her in his arms…seeming they were close friends this felt very natural to the both of them. He then gave Tavia a peck on the cheek, which made a smile appear on her flawless face as she leaned in to return the kiss.

Then Tavia walked over to her good friend Leila.

Tavia: So…what were you two doing together?

Leila: He was the guy my parents set me up with this year.

Tavia: But you know…he is quite the gentleman.

Leila: I noticed…

Tavia: Does that mean you like him?

Leila: I don’t know…but if he’s already taken then I shouldn’t even be thinking about it.

Tavia: Taken?

Leila: Aren’t you two together?

Tavia started laughing and when Ron heard her laughter he walked over to the two of them. He draped his arm over Tavia’s shoulder like he would usually do.

Ron: What’s so funny?

Tavia still in her laughter: She thinks we’re a couple

Ron too began to laugh: A lot of people assume that eh?

Leila: But you two seem to be so close

Tavia: Of course we are

Ron: We’ve known each other for years now but we’ve never gone out before…let’s just say we’re not meant to be lovers but more of soul mates

Tavia: But we would probably make a very nice couple, don’t you think Ron?

Ron: Of course. (He then wrapped his arms around her waist). Hey Tav, is my cousin here yet?

Tavia: She’s probably in there flirting with the other guys…

Ron: Typical her…

Leila stood there just watching the two of them whisper in each other’s ear and their little gestures…if she didn’t hear them deny the fact that they were together…she would probably think that they were a couple.

The three of them walked into the Party room that was now filled with guests…Leila learned a valuable lesson…whenever Tavia said it was a “little” get together she should be prepared to meet a hundred new faces.

Ron: O ya…I got you something

Tavia wrapped her arms around him and gave him a kiss to say thank you.

Tavia then went on to talk to her other guests while Ron and Leila stood there at the entranceway.

Linda: Ron! Guess what?

Ron: What?

Linda: You’re standing under the mistletoe

And with that everyone who was there drinking or having a nice conversation turned to look at Ron and Leila.

Linda: You know…they say that if you were under the mistletoe you would have to kiss the person who’s under it with you

Tavia: Kiss her! Kiss her!

And the crowd joined in, in the chant. Leila was blushing furiously, never before was she the center of attention or put under such great pressure. Ron then turned to look at her and gave her a little peck on the cheek. The crowd “booed” as he did so.

Tavia: Come on Ron, I know you can do better than that.

It was a bit awkward…but he wrapped his arms around her waist and did what he was told…he kissed her on the lips…he kissed her passionately on the lips…she wanted to push him away but his kiss and his body gestures were too compelling for her to do so.

As they parted the crowd hooted and whistled at them making Leila blush even more…Ron seeing how uncomfortable she was feeling immediately grabbed her hand and walked her over to the cocktail table so that she could get a drink to cool down.

~Boxing Day~

Leila woke up and hurried downstairs…it was the day where she would open up her gifts…she was actually looking forward to see what her parents got her and of course what her new friend Ron had gotten her as well. She started tearing the wrapping paper on her gift and opened up the box that to her surprise was filled with a miniature liquor bottles to add to her collection. She wasn’t a drinker but those bottles really attracted her. Then it was time to open up Ron’s gift…he probably got her something that she would consider unnecessary since he doesn’t know much about her. She opened it up and there in her hand was a little crystal penguin…she actually loved it. She wouldn’t imagine that he would’ve gotten her something like that. She had assumed it would be like what a normal guy would get a girl, which is probably a necklace or a bracelet or any type of jewelry. But in Ron’s case he got her the little penguin…one of her favourite animals of all time. She smiled seeing the mini object in her hand.

Ha Yu: Is that what Ron got you honey?

Leila nodded and a smile appeared on her face…she was planning on giving him a call to thank him once again for his gift until her phone rang.

Rebecca: Honey I think that’s your cell…

Leila immediately put the crystal figure on the table and ran upstairs to answer the call when she got up it was already too late…and the person who had called left her a message.

Leila flipped open her phone and checked to see whom the message was from and when she noticed that it was from Ron she immediately read it.

~Message from Ron~

Hey, I don’t know if you opened the present yet but if you did I hope you like it…I didn’t know what to get you so I just thought that it looked really cute and thought that you might like it. Anyways sorry about yesterday and the mistletoe…I was forced to so I didn’t have much of a choice. Hope you’re not mad cause I noticed that after that you didn’t say much to me. Uh…bye.

~End~

~Flashback~

Crowd: Kiss her! Kiss her!

Everyone hooted and jeered as the two of them stood under the mistletoe then Ron wrapped his arms around her and kissed her on the lips.

~Leila’s perspective after the kiss~

Why am I blushing? It’s not like I like him or anything and that was just a simple kiss…on the lips. Just because he’s good looking and acts like a gentlemen doesn’t mean that he is…Bosco was like him when I met him back then but he turned out to be a lie. What if this guy is the same? But if he isn’t does that mean I’d lose a chance of a lifetime to find my other half. The one who is destined to be with me forever?

~End Leila’s perspective~

For the rest of the party she just stood at the window staring out into the darkness of the night watching the many snowflakes fall down slowly. In her head she was debating if she did like him or not. So far the side that said she was, was winning. Ron could see that Leila was very quiet and felt that he was responsible for making her feel uncomfortable so he thought to leave her alone for the rest of the time there and went on to his good friend Tavia. The two of them danced and spoke into each other’s ear and then would start to laugh out of nowhere about something they were saying.

~End of flashback~

Leila turned over to her computer and noticed that there was a new email in her inbox…she opened it up and to her surprise it was from…Bosco.

~Email~

Hey Babe, miss me? Of course you did…anyways I’m going to come and pick you up tonight at 7:00 so we could go to dinner…and rekindle our relationship.

I miss you.

Bosco

~End~

She was ecstatic that he had emailed her and even happier that he wanted to rekindle their relationship…even though he made her go through a lot of pain but she wanted to give him another chance cause she loved him.
